Orchid Wedding Fairy Door

Inspired by my first “Hearts in Flight” fairy door, this design was requested by customer as a wedding gift for a friend. The colors ( "horizon" blue, "olivine"green, and a beautiful deep purple,) match the colors of the dresses worn by the bride and bride's maids and the decor of the wedding. The calla lilies and orchids are flowers to be used at the wedding and the hearts symbolize the love of the happy new couple. Doing such a personal piece was very special to me, and although I had a hard time envisioning the finished product when I started, I enjoyed creating this door and I am pleased that it was requested. I have never tried orchids before, so this was a fun experience and I hope the bride enjoys it as much as I enjoyed crafting it for her. Best wishes!
